The DCS music teachers maintain an online calendar.  While they do their best to keep the dates as current as possible, please contact them directly if you have any questions about dates.

The John C. Dempsey Middle School offers many music courses for all students.  Band, strings, and choir are all offered in both seventh and eigth grade as performance electives.  Courses in general music are offered in seventh grade as a required course, and in eighth grade as an elective.  Students can take beginning level group guitar and keyboarding classes in these general music courses.

Students interested in the performance electives of band, strings, and choir need to see the teacher of that performing ensemble to see if they would be eligible for that group.  Students interested in general music should see their guidance counselor about signing up for that class.
